What you think if this name for the character in my Fantasy Novel?
I'm writing a fantasy novel and already on second half. But today got concern about name of one of my character. She is Dark Elf (not the bad one, she actually accompany main character) - her name is Kaileen. What you think of this name? She is dexterous, quick and skilled in archery young dark elf girl, she is not most bright character, her character more simple type, she can be rude sometimes but she is kind in genuine in her heart. Feedback on name Kaileen for this character very appreciated...
To make it more clear. In my story all elves - light and dark on one side and positive personages of a little different folks, which split long ago because of type of magic they use and their believes, but they all live in peace at this time. So Kaileen is positive hero, who accompany main character. She can be counted as one of the three top characters in the story.
In my head I'm saying it KAY-lynn, I'm not sure if this is the sound that you were aiming to get across (if the lynn part was supposed to be a hard EEN, like in green), but if not I wouldn't worry. Half the time when people read they call the characters whatever they feel like. But I do love this sort of name (names like Kayla, Kahlan, Cathleen, Kaia), and I think the way you've decided to spell it looks very pretty. Elves in stories usually have willowy sorts of names, and though I don't know what you mean by "dark" elf, I think Kaileen has a ring to it for a typical Tolkien elf. If they are called "dark" for their behaviour or appearance or magic or habitate or for who's side they are usually on in war and differ from "light" elves in your story, then maybe you might want to create a difference between the characteristics between light and dark through the kinds of names they have (light ones called Blossom, for example, and the dark ones called something like Desdemona (which means demon)) then maybe you should change it. I do really like the name, but I'm not sure if it fits by what you have said. Maybe if you'd explain what a "dark" elf is, I could give you better advice. I invite you to email me if you're still unsure

3DAAA Archery Hi Speed Armoured Dog
Quick Trajectory Physics Problem please help?
You are watching an archery tournament when you start wondering how fast an arrow is shot from the bow. Remembering your physics, you ask one of the archers to shoot an arrow parallel to the ground. You find the arrow stuck in the ground 72 m away, making a 4° angle with the ground. How fast was the arrow shot?
Since we don't know initial height of the arrow, we can treat the actual flight as half of a parabolic trajectory with twice the given distance and a launch from ground at same angle as final. Assume no air resistance. Given Θ=4°, d=144m
d = (v²/g)sin(2Θ)
v = √(dg/sin(2Θ))
v = 100.7 m/s (225mph)
What was actual launch height?
y = (vsin(Θ))²/2g = 2.5 m
